THE PETSMART® CANAPALOOZA GAME AND SWEEPSTAKES

OFFICIAL RULES 2012

Important: Please read these Official Rules ("Rules") before participating in the PetSmart Canapalooza Game And Sweepstakes (the "Promotion"). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PLAY/ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID IN PR AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

1) PROMOTION PERIOD: The Promotion consists of an instant coupon game (the "Instant Coupon Game") and a sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes"). The Promotion will begin on 12/31/12 at 12:00:00 am Eastern Time ("ET") and end on 02/03/13 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the "Promotion Period"). The Webmaster's computer will be the official time keeping device of this Promotion. All dates are expressed month/day/year.

2) ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open only to permanent legal residents currently residing in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States (including DC), who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) as of the date of their play/entry. IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL OF THESE REQUIREMENTS OR ANY OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS IN THESE RULES, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A COUPON OFFER OR WIN A PRIZE, AND PETSMART, INC. ("Sponsor") RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO SEND COUPON OFFERS OR AWARD PRIZES TO YOU. Employees, directors and officers of Sponsor, bottlerocket marketing group, LLC ("Administrator"), Medical Management International, Inc. dba Banfield, The Pet Hospital; The Nutro Company Corporation; Nestle Purina Petcare Company; Del Monte Corporation; Mars Inc.; Blue Buffalo Company, Ltd; Bil-Jac Foods Inc.; Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc.; WellPet LLC; and Royal Canin S.A. Corporation; (collectively, the "Promotional Partners"); and any of their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiary companies, distributors, suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies (individually and collectively the "Promotion Entities") and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to win. Void everywhere else outside of the fifty (50) United States/DC or where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws. This Promotion and any advertisements relating thereto are intended for viewing only within the above referenced eligible locations. By participating in the Promotion, you agree that: (1) you have read and understand these Rules; (2) you meet the eligibility requirements as explained in these Rules; (3) you are bound by these Rules and to Sponsor's Conditions of Use and Legal Notices as published at www.PetSmart.com; (4) you unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, without appeal; (5) by participating in the Promotion and providing your contact information to Sponsor, you expressly consent to Sponsor sending or contacting you with marketing communications, even if you have opted out or unsubscribed from receiving commercial communications from PetSmart in the past; and (6) these Rules shall be legally binding on you and your legal representatives, heirs, successors, and assigns.

3) SWEEPSTAKES – HOW TO ENTER: There are three (3) ways to enter the Sweepstakes, as detailed below: (a) a purchase method of entry; (b) a non-purchase method of entry; and (c) by playing the Instant Coupon Game. Non-Purchase entries and purchase entries have an equal chance of winning. For entry methods (a) and (b), there is a limit of seventy-five (75) Sweepstakes entries per person, per week, throughout the Promotion Period, regardless of if they enter via the purchase method of entry or the non-purchase method of entry. Further, for entry method (c), there is a limit of one (1) entry per person, per day, throughout the Promotion Period. For the purposes of this Promotion a "day" is defined as 12:00:00 am ET to 11:59:59 pm ET. For the purposes of this Promotion, a "week" is defined as 12:00:00 am ET Monday to 11:59:59 pm ET Sunday. Entries must be complete to be eligible. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned, and Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated, programmed, robotic or similar system(s) to enter is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified.

A) Purchase Method – If you are an existing member of the PetPerks loyalty program ("PetPerks"), subject to the following two (2) sentences, you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes random drawing (the "Sweepstakes Drawing") each time you purchase a package of wet dog or cat food either in-store at any PetSmart store, or online at www.PetSmart.com, during the Promotion Period (subject to the above detailed entry limitation of seventy-five (75) entries per week). For clarification, "wet food" is food packaged in cans, pouches, trays, or tubs. Purchases of multipacks of wet food will result in one (1) entry for each individual container (can, pouch, tray, or tub), within the multipack subject to the above detailed entry limitation of seventy-five (75) entries per week. For in-store purchases you must provide your PetPerks loyalty card and/or phone number that is associated with the PetPerks account to the cashier at time of purchase. For online purchases, the PetPerks member's phone number and contact information must match the information associated with the PetPerks account (it is therefore advised that PetPerks members log in to their PetPerks account at www.PetPerks.com to verify their contact information is up to date). Such purchase(s) will be deemed to have been made during the given week and/or during the Promotion Period in accordance with Sponsor's computer transaction system. Promotion Entities are not responsible for any unanticipated computer delays in processing such purchases, which may cause potential purchases to post after a specific week or after the Promotion Period has ended. Sponsor's transaction record is the official and final determination of such entries. It is free to become a member of PetPerks. Visit www.PetPerks.com or your local PetSmart retailer and follow the instructions to register for PetPerks. Note: If you register in-store to become a member of PetPerks upon your purchase, you may not be eligible to receive an entry via this purchase method of entry for a four (4) week period, due to the turnaround process for collecting and processing registrant information. Therefore, such new PetPerks members, who have registered in-store, are encouraged to enter via the non-purchase method of entry (detailed below) to ensure they receive the maximum allotted amount of entries for the week/Sweepstakes Drawing.

B) Non-Purchase Method – If you do not wish to become a member of PetPerks or make an eligible purchase, each week throughout the Promotion Period, you can receive the maximum amount of entries for the applicable week (based upon the number of Purchase Method of entries you already received for the applicable week (if any)), by visiting petsmartpromotion.com/alternate, (the "AMOE Page"), completing the online registration form, and clicking on the "Submit" button. Entries via this method generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. Entries that are submitted through sweepstakes clubs or similar methods, or those that are mechanically reproduced, copied, incomplete, or inaccurate are void. Promotion Entities are not responsible for malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer hardware, software, malfunctions of the entrant's email provider, lost, late, incomplete entries, or entries not received in time to qualify for a certain week or for the Sweepstakes Drawing at all. Proof of delivery or receipt of entry will not be deemed by Sponsor proof of entry.

C) Instant Coupon Game Method – You will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes Drawing, each time you play at least one (1) round of the Instant Coupon Game during the Promotion Period (subject to the above detailed entry limitation of one (1) entry per day via this method). Instruction on how to play the Instant Coupon Game can be found in section 4 of these Rules.

4) INSTANT COUPON GAME - HOW TO PLAY: To play the Instant Coupon Game, also known as the online can catching game (the "Can Game"), visit the "Canapalooza" application (the "Promotion Application"), which can be found by following the "Canapalooza" application link from the PetSmart Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PetSmart). Once at the PetSmart Facebook page, you must "Like" PetSmart (if you already "Like" PetSmart you will not be asked to perform this task again), complete all required registration information, and then follow the on-screen instructions to participate in the Can Game. Upon completion of the first level of the Can Game, participants will: (a) find out instantly if they have been selected to receive one (1) of the one thousand (1,000) coupon offers ("Instant Coupon Offers") that are available daily in the Can Game; and (b) participants will also receive one (1) Sweepstakes Entry at such time. As previously detailed above, there is a limit of one (1) Can Game play per person, per day, throughout the Promotion Period. After such completion of the first level of the Can Game, participants have the opportunity to continue playing up to two (2) additional levels of the Can Game, as there are three (3) levels of the Can Game that can be played consecutively in order to accumulate points. The three (3) consecutive levels can be played as many times as a participant wishes each day, however, such additional Can Game level play(s) will not earn such participant additional Sweepstakes Entries, nor, additional Coupon Game opportunities for that day (it will only allow such participant to potentially increase their score and/or position on the leaderboard). Prizes and/or Coupons are not awarded based on the Can Game play score earned, such scores are for amusement purposes only. The Can Game may not be accessible via a mobile device.

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and all participants release Facebook from any liability in connection with this Promotion. You understand that by participating, you are providing your information to Sponsor, not to Facebook. You also understand that by using and interacting with www.facebook.com, you are subject to the terms, conditions, and policies that govern the use of www.facebook.com. You should therefore review the applicable terms and policies for www.facebook.com, including privacy and data gathering practices, before using or interacting with Facebook. Each registrant is solely responsible for any and all uses of their registered email, Facebook or other applicable accounts. Multiple registrants are not permitted to share the same email address or Facebook account. Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the stated number of plays/entries by using multiple/different email addresses, Facebook accounts, identities, registrations, logins, or any other methods or applicable accounts, will void that person's plays/entries and such person may be disqualified. Use of any automated, programmed, robotic or similar system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor and Promotion Entities are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified. All registrations become the property of Sponsor and may not be returned or acknowledged.

5) INSTANT COUPON GAME OFFERS/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE ("ARV"): In order for you to receive an Instant Coupon Offer, you must be a player who plays the Can Game at one (1) of the randomly generated winning times, as determined and verified by Sponsor, or if no one plays at such time, you must be the first to play immediately after such time, as determined and verified by Sponsor. As detailed in the Instant Coupon Offer Chart below, a computer-generated algorithm will spread thirty-five thousand 35,000 Instant Coupon Offers throughout the Promotion Period (1,000 per day). Odds of receiving an Instant Coupon Offer depend on the actual number of eligible Can Game plays received and the timing of the Can Game plays. Instant Coupon Offers are not transferable, substitutable or redeemable for cash. However, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute an Instant Coupon Offer (or a portion thereof) for one of greater or equal value for any Instant Coupon Offer. The difference between any ARV and actual retail value of any Instant Coupon Offer (due to market fluctuations at the time of prize award) will not be awarded in cash. The expiration date for Instant Coupon Offers will be 02/28/13, unless otherwise stated on coupon. All Instant Coupon Offers are subject to any/all standard and stated restrictions/conditions as listed on the coupons or otherwise. Potential recipients of an Instant Coupon Offer may be provided directions for validation and verification before any Instant Coupon Offer is provided, or alternatively Sponsor may unilaterally verify such potential recipient as an official recipient and will then send them an email, which contains a link to print the Coupon Offer. Please note that the Coupon Offers will NOT be mailed to participants, so participants must have a printer available to be able to print the Coupon and bring it into a PetSmart store in order to take advantage of the Coupon Offer opportunity. If a potential Instant Coupon Offer recipient cannot be contacted, fails to confirm necessary information, has an email delivery returned as undeliverable, or is found by the Sponsor and/or Administrator after further research and investigation to not be an actual Instant Coupon Offer recipient, said potential Instant Coupon Offer recipient may be disqualified and will forfeit the Instant Coupon Offer. In the event there are not enough Can Game plays to award all Instant Coupon Offers on any given day, Administrator will conduct a second chance drawing (the "Second Chance Drawing"), performed from among all valid Can Game plays throughout the Promotion Period, in order to give away the remaining Coupon Offers. The Second Chance Drawing will be performed after the Promotion Period is over. A participant is not an official Instant Coupon Offer recipient, even if a message should so indicate, unless and until registrant's eligibility has been confirmed and verification is complete, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence in lieu of its validation process. There is a limit of one (1) Instant Coupon Offer per person, per day, throughout the Promotion Period. As detailed in the Instant Coupon Offer Chart below, a participant will receive either a Dog Coupon Offer or a Cat Coupon Offer, based upon the pet-type information they provided upon registration. Once registered, your pet-type selection cannot be changed. Sponsor will not accommodate requests for coupon substitutions.

*Minimum and Maximum ARV of Dog and Cat coupons are shown based on the maximum value of each coupon. Actual values may be less than such maximum value, depending upon current market conditions and retail location.

6) SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING/SWEEPSTAKES GRAND PRIZE AND ARV: On or about 02/18/13, there will be one (1) random Sweepstakes Grand Prize Drawing (the "Grand Prize Drawing"), performed from amongst all eligible entries received throughout the entire Promotion Period, in order to select one (1) potential Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner, once confirmed as detailed below, will receive one (1) check for ten thousand dollars ($10,000). The ARV of the Grand Prize is ten thousand dollars ($10,000). Administrator, an independent judging agency, will perform the Grand Prize Drawing.

7) SWEEPSTAKES WINNER NOTIFICATION/VERIFICATION/ACCEPTANCE: The potential Grand Prize Winner is not an official winner unless all necessary paperwork has been returned, as determined by Sponsor. On or about the same business day as the Grand Prize Drawing, an attempt will be made to notify the potential Grand Prize Winner via phone and/or email and such potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (where legal) within seven (7) days of notification attempt or the Grand Prize Winner will forfeit the Grand Prize, at Sponsor's discretion, and an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected. Grand Prize winner will receive a 1099 at the end of the year in which the prize is awarded for tax purposes.

8) PUBLICITY: By accepting a prize/coupon in this Promotion, participants hereby consent to the use by Sponsor of their information (first name, last initial, city, state), and/or likeness, in any media now known or hereinafter developed throughout the world, without additional consideration (where legal), consent or prior review, and upon request will provide written consent to such use.

9) IDENTITY OF ENTRANT: In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, entries made online will be declared/made by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry, and if a prize is won/coupon received, it will be awarded to the email account owner. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access Provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses. It is the sole responsibility of the registrant to notify the Sponsor in writing if the registrant changes his/her e-mail, phone number or postal address during the Promotion Period or close to the notification period detailed above.

10) CONDITIONS: The total ARV of the Grand Prize and all Coupon Offers available to be given away in this Promotion is a minimum of $66,070 and a maximum of $78,030. Any and all federal, state and/or local taxes (if any) and/or assessments levied on prizes/coupons (if any) shall be the sole responsibility of the applicable winner(s). The decisions of Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to this Promotion without appeal. Except as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, no substitution of a prize/coupon shall be offered and no transfer of the right to receive a prize/coupon to a third party is permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a prize/coupon, or portion thereof, of equal or greater value. In no event will more than the listed number of prizes or Coupon Offers be awarded. All standard and stated coupon terms and conditions shall apply. Actual value of prize/coupons will depend on current market conditions at time of fulfillment, and any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value of the prize/coupon, if any, will not be awarded, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Restrictions and expiration dates may, where permitted by law, apply to Coupon Offers.

11) PRIVACY: Except as otherwise stated in these Rules, personal information collected in connection with this Promotion will be used in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy found at www.PetSmart.com or with any other consent given by an entrant. Any communication or information transmitted to Sponsor by electronic mail or otherwise is and will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. Your California Privacy Rights: Our customers who are California residents may request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, certain information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of personal information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and a customer and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to customercare@petsmart.com. You may have other privacy rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

12) GENERAL LIABILITY: Participants agree that the Promotion Entities (a) shall not be responsible or liable for, and you hereby release the Promotion Entities from, any claims, losses, damages or injuries of any kind (including death, to persons, property and/or pet(s)) resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion or any Promotion-related activity, or from acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use/misuse or inability to use a prize or coupon (including any product redeemed with the Coupon Offers), and (b) to the maximum extent permitted by law, have not made any warranty, condition, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to a prize/coupon, including, without limitation, to such prize/coupon's quality or fitness for a particular purpose. The Promotion Entities shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, expense, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity that may be caused or contributed to (a) by any wrongful, negligent or unauthorized act or omission on the part of any of their agents, servants, employees or independent contractors; (b) by any wrongful, negligent or unauthorized act or omission on the part of any other person or entity not an employee of the Promotion Entities, or (c) by any other cause, condition or event whatsoever beyond the control of the Promotion Entities. Failure of Sponsor to enforce any provision herein shall not be deemed a waiver of such. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Rules for clarification and/or administration purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Promotion.

The Promotion Entities assume no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures of any kinds, delayed computer transmissions or network, server, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other connections that are human or technical in nature or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the randomly generated Coupon Offers, notification and announcement of the Grand Prize winner or Coupon recipients, or in any other Promotion-related materials. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, suspend, modify or amend this Promotion, in its entirety or in part, for any reason, including should virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Promotion. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate registration information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion, by any technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Promotion, or for any technical or human errors which may occur during the administration of the Instant Coupon portion of the Promotion. In the event of termination or cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the eligible Grand Prize and Instant Coupon Offers from among all eligible, non-suspect, Sweepstakes entries received prior to the date of the termination or cancellation via a random drawing process, at Sponsor's discretion, or via a different method which Sponsor deems fair. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it suspects to be tampering with the entry/play process or the operation of the Promotion or Promotion Application or AMOE Microsite, or to be acting in a unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or illegal manner or in violation of these Rules and void all associated entries/plays. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for entries/plays that are garbled, late, tampered with, forged, incomplete, misdirected, lost, misplaced, stolen, delayed, damaged, inaccurate, undelivered, destroyed or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules, and all such entries/plays will be void. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other factors/reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the Grand Prize and the stated number of coupons by random drawings from among all eligible, legitimate, entries/plays, at their sole discretion.

If any part of these Rules are determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and these Rules shall continue in effect. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE PROMOTION APPLICATION OR THE AMOE MICROSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND COSTS (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEYS' FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13) DISPUTES: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules or the rights and obligations of participants or Sponsor in connection with the Promotion shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona in the United States, without regard to conflict or choice of law provisions, or international treaties or conventions. Participants specifically agree to the venue and jurisdiction being exclusively in the federal and state courts situated in Maricopa County in the State of Arizona, United States.

14) WINNERS' LIST: Winners' list requests will only be accepted after the Promotion Period has ended.
